PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Nebraska ASHRAE Members,
It's hard to believe the ASHRAE Society Year is nearing its end! We have quite a bit going on in May and June, so make sure you plan accordingly!
We have the honor of hosting Society President Bill McQuade on May 22nd for a special President's Lunch. I hope you will join us to hear an update on Bill's Society theme and to get a chance to ask him your questions about indoor environmental quality. We'll be holding the lunch at the Scott Conference Center. Be sure to register soon! It's not every year we get a chance to host the Society President, so don't miss out on the opportunity to be part of the lunch.
May is also our tour month! We'll be doing an Omaha tour at the new Central Library and a Lincoln tour at LES to see their ice storage and boiler systems. Dates are being finalized but keep an eye out for an email soon to register. Paintball is also on May 15th. You can sign your team up now! We also have our Annual Golf Outing coming up on June 8th. Teams have already sold out, but you still have the opportunity to sponsor if you haven't taken advantage already.
Registration is now open for the Nebraska ASHRAE Technical Conference (formerly known as CEU Day) as well as CRC! Visit this link (https://dionysustickets.com/nebraskacrc2026) to register for the Tech Conference, CRC, or a la carte events like our Welcome Party at the Durham Museum or Awards Dinner at the Henry Doorly Zoo. The Tech Conference will be a full day of presentations and tours on Friday, August 7th. Registration for the full day gives you the chance to earn 8 PDHs and includes a breakfast keynote, access to the presentations, the President's Lunch, and the opportunity to tour Steelhouse Omaha and/or the zoo. Be sure to register early to get the early-bird pricing - the price goes up in July! I hope to see many of you there!
We are also looking for volunteers for CRC. There are many roles to fill, including registration, preparing welcome bags, VIP guest transportation, meeting setup, and hospitality suite staffing. If you're interested in volunteering for a short time slot, please fill out the quick survey at this link (https://forms.office.com/r/Eu5shmN39Z) or reach out to Shaun Nienhueser ([email protected]). We have been hard at work planning a great event and are so appreciative of your support!
It has been an honor to serve as your president this year. Many thanks to our Board of Governors and committee chairs and members for making this year an exceptional year for Nebraska ASHRAE. And thank you chapter members and volunteers for all the ways you make our chapter successful by sponsoring events, attending lunch meetings, donating to RP, and volunteering your time. Our members truly make our chapter special. I look forward to staying involved in the chapter and hope to continue to see many of you around at ASHRAE events!
